Eli Helmuth

Since his first guiding job in 1989, Eli has devoted himself to the profession and become one of America’s most highly accomplished guides. He was among the first twenty people to earn AMGA certification in all three disciplines of guiding (rock, alpine, ski), thus achieving IFMGA international certification. His extensive climbing and guiding experience includes routes throughout the lower 48, Alaska, Canada, Mexico, Thailand, France, Ecuador, Bolivia, Peru, Chile, Nepal and Alaska. In 1995 Eli and Steve House made the first ascent of Denali’s Father and Sons Wall, and Eli has subsequently established numerous new rock routes from Patagonia to France to Colorado, from 5.7 to 5.13.
