John Kear

John Kear is an IFMGA certified guide with fourteen years of professional experience. An avid climber since 1988 he has honed his climbing, skiing and guiding skills throughout the world with first ascents and difficult routes in the Andes, Himalaya, the Alps and throughout North American. Since 2003, John has served as an alpine and rock instructor for the AMGA. Additionally, John is head guide and co-owner of Suntoucher Mountain Guides, based in his home of Albuquerque, NM. He specializes in small ratio technical ascents and expert instruction in mountaineering, rock climbing and skiing.
