Mike Hattrup is an AMGA Certified Ski Mountaineering Guide and long-time extreme skier. Adept in the steeps of Alaska, the beauty of the Alps, the powder of Canada, or the expanse of the North Cascades National Park, Mike safely guides numerous clients on ski mountaineering adventures across the globe. This scholarship was formed by Mike to advance the profession of ski guiding in America.
The purpose of this scholarship is to partial funding of the AMGA Ski Mountaineering Guide Exam to guides who have successfully completed the AMGA Ski Mountaineering Guide Course. One $500 scholarship will be awarded each year.
specific Criteria for application
- Is currently enrolled in the Ski Mountaineering Guide Exam to which the scholarship will be applied
- Has not received funding from the Mike Hattrup Ski Mountaineering Guide Exam Fund in the previous calendar year
