The North Face Alpine Guide Scholarship

This scholarship funded by The North Face in cooperation with the AMGA is a new opportunity for a working professional alpine guide to advance his/her guiding career. The North Face and AMGA are proud to team up to offer a qualified candidate full tuition towards an alpine course or exam in 2008.

Criteria for application

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide funding for the continuing education of a qualified professional guide. The successful applicant is a guide who:

• Is a current member of the AMGA
• Is currently enrolled in at least one AMGA programs
• Has a minimum of 3 years guiding professionally and is continuing to pursue guiding as a profession
• Is seeking to better his/her guiding skills through educational courses and/or exams
• Will provide a written report on the use of the scholarship as well as provide two photographs (after the course) for The North Face and the AMGA within two weeks of completing the course.

Please mail the application — along with a climbing resumé — to the AMGA at PO Box 1739, Boulder, CO 80302. Your application will be reviewed by a team of AMGA representatives.
