Below is the equipment list for the Rock Discipline. This list is a recommendation only and is not intended to be prescriptive.
Clothing — Be prepared for being outside and active during inclement weather. All clothing should be in good condition and appropriate for the activity. Warm (synthetic or wool) pants, tops, jackets, hats and gloves as well as waterproof shells must be brought to all programs.
Footwear — Shoes should be appropriate for 3rd and 4th class approaches. Climbing shoes should be comfortable enough to be worn all day in hot conditions.
Guide’s Pack — Bring a small day pack or fanny pack that can be carried while on routes. Depending on the climb it may include sunglasses, water bottle, sunscreen, pocketknife, first aid kit, headlamp, athletic tape, and other items.
Guides notebook and pencil or pen.
Car Camping Equipment — Bring a tent, sleeping bag, stove, lantern, Restop 2, etc.
All equipment is expected to be in good condition and to remain so during the duration of the course. Mark all of your gear!
