Brief Bio
Originally from Texas, I started my career in climbing instruction with the Boy Scouts. After having worked at a number of high adventure camps and receiving my Eagle, I decided to pursue an undergraduate degree in Wilderness Leadership & Experiential Education from Brevard College in Western North Carolina. It was there that I found out about the AMGA. After graduation, I continued to live in Brevard to cut my teeth on the amazing granite found in Pisgah National Forest. Though, I went back to the granite of Enchanted Rock State Park in Texas to pass my SPI exam. Since then, I have received a Masters of Experiential & Outdoor Education from Western Carolina University. I really love educating people about climbing and getting them outside. I have also been a backpacking, canyoning, and raft guide. I hope to one day start my own outdoor adventure education-based guide service.
