Brief Bio
Growing up in rural Western New York, I fostered an enjoyment for outdoor activity early in life through fishing, snowboarding, and running around the Allegheny Mountains. While in high school, a serious affinity for mountaineering literature and a growing interest in the world outside my hometown led me to the Adirondack Mountains for college, where I received a degree in Environmental Studies from Paul Smith’s College. Throughout college, I spent my summers traveling to Estes Park, CO, to work on trail crews and fill my downtime with as much rock climbing as possible. Post-graduation led to a full-time move out west with stints around the state of Colorado, Oregon, and Washington while pursuing a career in guiding. These days I live full-time in Estes Park, CO, with my wife and dog, enjoying abundant skiing and climbing right out the backdoor. I am an AMGA Certified Rock Guide, the head guide at KMAC Guides, an instructor for the Silverton Avalanche School, and a mountain guide at Alpine Ascents International.
