Brief Bio
My early experiences in the outdoors were in the epic hills of Northeastern Ohio. Despite humble beginnings, my ski career accelerated quickly in the backcountry near Lake Tahoe and throughout Colorado. My passion for skiing has taken me to many parts of the world, including Alaska, British Columbia, Switzerland, Iceland, Japan, and Chile. I am also a field researcher at Montana State University, with emphasis on glacier dynamics in Antarctica and the Canadian Arctic. I am a 9-year veteran of mountain search and rescue and dedicated avalanche educator. In my infinite spare time, you will find me skiing, mountain biking, kayaking, and climbing.
