Check out Grant’s Ted Talk here.

Boulder Round Table/ Board Listening Session (5:30-7:30pm)

This year, the Arc’teryx Round Table Discussion at the Annual Meeting will be a listening session with the AMGA Board.  It will be in the public hearing format, and will be an opportunity for members to share their personal thoughts and concerns with the Board.  There will be a sign-up sheet available from 5:30-6:10 for folks that wish to provide verbal comments.

AMGA office staff will provide an overview of the evening, and then open the floor to comments.  While you may address any issue you would like to bring to the board, some topics could include:

  • Training and education
  • The AMGA’s role in advocacy
  • Collaboration with the larger outdoor provider community
  • Terrain and Supervision Guidelines
  • Accreditation
  • Program feedback

If you do not feel comfortable speaking, or would like to elaborate further, written comment forms will be made available.

In order to keep the evening flowing smoothly, and provide everyone with the chance to speak, there will be some ground rules for participation.  We ask that everyone that attends be familiar with, and abide by them.

Ground rules:

  • Each person will be given one minute to speak, and may not speak again until everyone has had the opportunity. Please limit comments to your turn.
  • When it is your turn to speak, clearly state your name for the record.
  • Do not interrupt the person speaking.
  • Be professional in your comments.
  • Please save Q&A and debating issues for personal conversations with board members.
