Brief Bio
Eli grew up in Morrsiville, Vermont, and has always had a great love for the outdoors. Through climbing, he was introduced to a new way of seeing the landscape that he grew up exploring. He is a graduate of Champlain College’s Environmental Policy program, and has worked for Petra Cliffs Mountaineering School for several years. He’s been climbing for 5 years, and quickly became addicted to sharing his passion for the sport with people of all ages. Eli loves all disciplines of climbing, but particularly ice and mixed. When not climbing, he enjoys trailrunning, skiing, kayaking, mountain biking, and skijoring with his husky. He is certified as a Wilderness First Responder, AMGA Single Pitch Instructor, and a Swiftwater Rescue Technician. He’s had the opportunity to climb in many different areas of the United States, from The Bitterroot Mountains of Montana to the sandstone cracks of Moab, Utah. Despite climbing in such a variety of different areas, Eli still believes that Vermont offers some of the best all-around climbing options in the United States.
