Brief Bio
Growing up in the Sierra Nevada Mountains around Lake Tahoe, the love of the outdoors was instilled in me early on. I started snowboarding at a young age, taking independent study programs to allow more time to ride, compete in Slopestyle events and adventure in the mountains. After studying Wilderness Education at Lake Tahoe Community College (with a focus on snow, water and rock) most of my snowboarding goals were focused on split board touring in the backcountry. For personal recreation over the past decade, I have led many different backcountry pursuits in all seasons in various places around the globe, including guiding rivers in the US, New Zealand and Nepal. This is my 9th season as a commercial Grand Canyon River Guide and my 4th season captaining boats on Lake Tahoe with a 50 Ton USCG Master License. Going into my 3rd season working for Points North Heli-Adventures in Cordova, AK working as a chef and tail-guiding when out in the field. I look forward to continuously advancing my backcountry skills to be a bigger asset to my clients and co-workers as I dive deeper into the professional mountain guiding world.
