Brief Bio
Hello! I developed my love of all things mountains growing up in upstate NY and New England. There, I cut his teeth rock and ice climbing all over the Adirondacks, Greens and Whites, and skiing as first a racer, then a ski patroller, always as a recreational free skier, and finally a ski guide and ski mountaineer. I moved to CO in 2009 and have made this my home-base for the most part ever since. As the Director/Head Guide for the USAF Academy Mountain Operations and Adventure Program, I work year round as a DoD Civilian, bringing recreational and occupational mountain based training and trips to primarily military affiliated members and their families, all over CO, WY, WA, AK, as well as Canada and Europe. I also fill in my year with part time work for other commercial companies as an AIARE Course Leader, AAA Professional Avalanche program instructor, SPI/CWI Program Provider and as an IFMGA Licensed Mountain Guide. While skiing big mountains and deep pow is my first passion, running along alpine ridges, big rock walls and up frozen waterfalls are all a close second, and I'll never be upset climbing some 5.fun single pitch on a nice day. Education and risk management are always at the forefront of any mountain guiding product I deliver, backed by 2 decades of teaching and mountain craft experience.
