Brief Bio
Alexandro’s (Alex) biggest passion is guiding and teaching climbing and mountaineering skills. Since he was 8 years young he climbed his first “Fourteener” with his dad and was helping to pack for the first Mexican expedition to Kangchenjunga, since his dad’s best friend was one of the most well know mountaineers and expedition leaders in Mexico at that time. By 21 he had been involved with the alpine rescue team in Mexico for a few years and had participated in a number of rescues in the Mexican volcanoes, which by then he had summited many times while guiding, climbing, taking courses, and having fun. By 22 he became the youngest member of the first Mexican Expedition team to go to Everest under his dad’s friend leadership. Fate didn’t have that for him at that time and by 25 he left Mexico with a backpack and the desire to travel and climb around the world. Alex had lived in 6 different countries, including Nepal and Switzerland, where he has climbed mountains, rocks and icefalls, including a few 6000 meter peaks, either solo or with friends and clients. He has also climbed in Peru, the French Alps, in the Annapurnas area of Nepal, and as a Colorado resident he climbs and guides in the Rocky Mountains. Alex has been a member of four frustrated teams to go to Everest, but his perseverance keeps him active and searching for the opportunity to stand, one day, on top of the world.
I also share a passion for photography and film, and my camera is always with me when I’m climbing or mountaineering.
