Brief Bio
Grew up sailing and surfing on the coast of France and skiing in the Alps. Moved to North Carolina in 1998 to complete a PhD in Mathematics. Started rock climbing and fell in love with the wilderness on this side of the ocean. Been teaching mathematics since 2004 at a number of universities in Puerto Rico, California, North Carolina, and more recently Colorado where I am also teaching outdoor education courses. I have been an alpine ski patroller since 2014, but more and more the backcountry is where I spend my time either rock climbing, ice climbing, skiing or mountain biking.
