Brief Bio
Steven Cherry is an editor, journalist, writer, and since 1989, a rock climber. He teaches journalism and creative writing at the University of Pittsburgh, and has taught at New York University, the College of New Rochelle, and the University of Iowa. His home crag is the Gunks; other favorite areas include Lover’s Leap, T-Wall, Tuolumne, and the Adirondacks. He has climbed in at least 40 different gyms in 16 states and two non-U.S. countries.
