    Brief Bio
I started guiding on Denali's West Buttress in 1996. I was 23. I moved to Alaska to immerse myself in a lifestyle which kept me close to nature and to learn to become a mountaineer. I did both with few mentors and little guidance. I guided Denali 10 times, Aconcagua 6 times with 3 different personal ascents and also worked in Bolivia 2 seasons. I worked as a NOLS instructor for 2 Alaskan glacier expeditions. After 5 full winters in Alaska I started to migrate south for rock climbing in the Tetons, Sierra, Joshua Tree, Red Rocks and Indian Creek. I was intimidated by the cost of AMGA certs and didnt quite understand how to make it happen. I took a life detour and became a small plane commercial pilot with a focus on sea planes. I worked as a pilot for a few years after training. It was an amazing experience however my heart lead me back to my calling of being a mountain athlete. I travelled and lived in the UK, Italy and Chile and Canada considering each IFMGA training in each country. However I am primarily a USA climber and I'm excited to begin AMGA training because of the forward thinking evolution within the AMGA that I'm witnessing. So now at the age of 45 I'm starting AMGA certs and fully committed to my path to join a stellar group of mountain athletes and professionals.
