Outdoor Program Coordinator – Doylestown Rock Gym Adventure Center

The Doylestown Rock Gym is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team! We are looking for someone who has a passion for teaching climbing, leading outdoor trips, and helping with guide program operations. This position will operate both indoors and outdoors based on the season.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of three-years’ experience in the climbing industry or equivalent in personal climbing experience.

• CWI certification or ability to obtain certification with lead endorsement within 90 days of employment.

• Possess current First Aid and CPR certifications for indoor and outdoor environment or acquire training with 30 days of employment.

• SPI preferred or skills are assessment ready

• Strong interpersonal skills.

• Ability to act independently on tasks as well as contribute to a team driven environment.

PRIMARY OUTDOOR DUTIES

• Independently lead group and private trips to bouldering, top rope and sport climbing areas

• Conduct excursions for in-house programs and summer camp

• Assist with administrative tasks and scheduling

• Maintain outdoor gear

• Assist with and/or conduct development of staff

• Assist with local crag stewardship

PRIMARY INDOOR DUTIES

  • Instruct youth and adult level classes
  • Conduct monthly member clinics
  • Assist with staff training and mentoring of program assistants and belay staff

COMPENSATION

  • Full-time hourly, non-exempt
  • Base Salary of $16-$20 per hour based on experience
