Expanded Access on Shoshone National Forest

The AMGA is pleased to report expanded availability of temporary permits on the Shoshone National Forest in Wyoming. The AMGA worked with local guides and Forest Service officials to revise a Forest policy that was only allowing temporary permits to be issued every other year. The policy has now been revised to allow temporary permits to be issued seasonally. The Forest will also be undergoing a prospectus process within the next two years to issue additional priority use permits. To apply for a permit, please contact the ranger district in the area you would like to operate. A complete list of ranger districts can be found on the Shoshone National Forest website.
