  1. Why would you teach top-ropers to lower off of fixed hardware? Why did you not teach the climber to abseil off the fixed hardware?

  2. Great video though I think it would be helpful to stress the importance of communication and setting up a plan before the climber leaves the ground. According to the AAC, about 1 in 4 accidents are due to miscommunication when lowering a climber.

  3. Why lower and not rappel?Lowering on fixed gear adds unnecessary wear.
